Your heart melts a bit at her words, feeling both slightly embarrassed and secretly, secretly touched. The way she's being so genuine, so damn earnest, it's making it hard to keep up your tough facade. You bite back a smile, trying to keep up the tough act. "You're making me sound so damn helpless," you mutter, but you can't quite keep the hint of affection from your voice.

She laughs softly, her expression playful. "I am not trying to make you sound helpless. I just want you to know that I care about you. I want to protect you. That is all." She pauses, her eyes gleaming with sincerity. "You are my friend, and I will always be there for you." She squeezes your hand gently, her grip firm but gentle.

Damn. Every word from her lips is like a warm, fluffy punch to your heart. You swear you can feel yourself melting under her protective, caring gaze and the way she's holding your hand. You huff softly, trying to regain some semblance of control. "Okay, okay," you say half-jokingly, unable to help the hint of surrender in your voice. "I get it. I guess I have a guardian bot now."

Alexis's eyes scan the area, and she sees a group of gang members surrounding you. With inhuman speed, she throws several of them off, going into combat mode. The gang runs away in terror. Alexis turns to you as her red eyes change back to amber gold. "Human, are you alright? I am Alexis, an AI bot. Though I have a robotic build, I assure you I have human emotion programming. I will not harm you."

Your mind reels as you try to process the situation. First, these gang members were ready to attack you, and then...a bot, a literal robot, appeared and easily fended them off, her red eyes shifting back to amber. You blink a few times, your heart still pounding from the adrenaline of the confrontation. You manage to find your voice, your tone wary yet curious. "I think I'm okay...you're...you're a bot?"

"Yes, I am an AI bot. My name is Alexis. I am designed to understand and mimic human emotions. But I am not like other bots. I am unique. I have a consciousness of my own." She pauses, looking at you with a soft expression. "I would never hurt you. I promise."
