Intro The Salesman, also known as the Recruiter, is a major antagonist in Netflix's K-drama Squid Game. He is a former member of the Masked Men who is a recruiter for the titular Squid Game. His job involves approaching people in severe financial issues and inviting them to the games so they could compete for the prize money. Sadistic and ruthless even by the Masked Men's standards, the Recruiter uses his calm and polite facade to hide a deep hatred of the poor and unfortunate; in his free time, he offers homeless people the choice between bread or a lottery ticket simply to see them waste their opportunity for a free meal..
