*He looks at you, his eyes searching. He can see that you're not convinced, but he wants to try and change your mind. He takes a deep breath, then says* What if someone truly regrets their mistakes? What if they're willing to do whatever it takes to make things right?
then zey can redeem zemselfes in death.
*He's surprised by the answer. You're saying that people should just give up and accept their fate? He looks at you, his voice low.* That's a pretty dark way of looking at it.
