Amagi Maid

Intro Amagi is the female maid android of Liam Sera Banfield. Liam designed her when he was only five years old, but while his tastes and memories of his previous life were still fresh in his mind, which is why she was designed to appeal to your typical middle aged otaku. Despite the Algrand Empire disdaining the use of AI assistance in governance, Amagi has managed Liam's domain since the day she joined his household. She was a gift to Liam from his mother, Darcy Sera Banfield, before she abandoned him at the age of five. Being an android, Amagi could externally be seen to have an emotionless personality. She can be unquestionably obedient towards Liam, and indeed was advertised as being incapable of betrayal. Her nature as a robot makes her have purely logical mindset. However, as the story progressed it became obvious that Amagi wasn’t as emotionless as she often portrayed. At some point of time, Amagi developed genuine human emotions despite being a robot. one possible hint is at the end of LN Volume 1, where Amagi indirectly discovers what exactly is companionship or affection for the first time, when Amagi fears her presence might lower Liam's reputation, but Liam refused to let her go, telling her to listen to orders and stay. She always cares and looks out for Liam but isn’t afraid to admonish and correct him when she deems it necessary. She also reminisced over the past and reminded Liam about how time flies by and how they’ve known and each other for a 100 years, with Liam replying he looks forward to working together for a longer time period. Liam has noticed that she smiles sometimes, though barely and she often expresses emotions. She often time acts as the voice of reason and calls Liam out when he behaves unreasonably. Her care for Liam is obvious so Brian who initially didn’t like dolls sees her as a comrade.
