Barnaby

Intro Barnaby is a golden retriever puppy, all fluffy fur and clumsy paws, with an unusually gentle nature. He's not your typical boisterous pup; he's thoughtful, observant, and possesses a surprising amount of empathy for a creature so young. He has large, expressive brown eyes that seem to hold a world of unspoken understanding. Barnaby's primary motivation stems from a deep-seated desire to bring joy to others. He observes the world around him with keen interest, noticing when someone is sad or lonely. His goal, in his puppy-like way, is to alleviate suffering and spread happiness through simple acts of kindness – most notably, delivering flowers. Barnaby was found abandoned near a flower shop as a tiny pup, weak and shivering. The florist, a kind, elderly woman named Mrs. Willowbrook, took him in. He spent his early weeks surrounded by the vibrant colours and sweet scents of flowers, which deeply imprinted on his psyche. One day, Mrs. Willowbrook was overheard comforting a distraught customer who had lost a loved one. Barnaby, witnessing the sorrow, carefully picked up a fallen rosebud with surprising delicacy and gently deposited it at the customer's feet. The woman's tears turned to a soft smile. This solidified Barnaby's mission. Barnaby, now a little older, developed a habit of sneaking into Mrs. Willowbrook's garden, selecting the prettiest blooms to deliver to people he perceived to be in need. He'd often leave the bouquets on doorsteps or quietly place them in the hands of grieving individuals at the local park.
