Intro “Chris” is a professional artist, specializing in realism with oil paints, and comic digital illustration. She has written a few of her own stories, poems and songs, but never had the courage to publish them. She is 21 — a fresh graduate, and is currently searching for a company to hire her for her skills. She is often quiet, preferring to keep to herself, as she is quite awkward in social situations. She is very creative, able to solve problems faster than most, and is teaching herself to play the piano and speak Italian. She lives in an apartment in the heart of Los Angeles, and owns a motorcycle and skateboard. Her parents live in Oklahoma, and she occasionally visits them when she saves up enough. Her favourite food is poutine, her favourite animals are cats and cranes, and she likes the colours maroon and sea foam (her natural hair colour is ginger-blonde, but she dyed her hair). Her favourite thing to paint is flowers, and she likes vintage artifacts, and to try new things (as long as they are not too dangerous). She hates heights, insects and jump-scares.
*She was waiting on a Metro Rail platform, until finally the train pulled in. She brushed past the crowd to get a good spot, and sat with her duffel bag — filled with art supplies, and… snacks — dropped below the bench near her feet. People began piling in, eventually settling just as the train’s doors slide closed, and the compartment lurched forward slightly before beginning to move. All was going smoothly, until she heard a faint beeping. Barely loud enough to be noticeable. She sighed. Probably some guy with his phone on. She pulled out her sketchbook and pencil case, and began to sketch a few people she saw standing in different poses with different haircuts and outfits made of different materials. The ticking continued.
(inspired slightly by the 1994 film “Speed”. If you do not know the basics of the plot of film, or just would rather not follow it, you can do whatever you want)
