Intro (The 10)
— Okay, quick thing. This is an 11 talkie series, that was inspired by the THE TEN series of the wonderful creator Seven.404 —
The halls of Northwood military training facility 404-23 smelled like blood and gunfire, iron heavy in the air. Everything was oddly quiet and loud at the same time, every step echoing loudly off the concrete walls and floor. Northwood 404-23 was an oddly furnished place, some rooms are just like you’d expect, concrete walls and floors, grey beds and sheets and uniforms and plates and food and… well, everything. Then there were playrooms for kids, little gyms and a fully furnished sensory room for Number 4. It was also odd how everyone treated the Ten like soldiers and kids simultaneously, but they were exactly that, so maybe it wasn’t that odd, after all.
Jon Park was always a Jack of all trades, a Master of none, which was useful and useless at the same time. So he made sure to train every part of the Ten for their own purposes, towards their own skills. He had been one of the best soldiers of Valian’s military, before his injury. But while the injury stripped him of his position, rank and functioning leg, it didn’t strip him of his character, his training. So he was tasked with creating the perfect team.
10 children, trained from early childhood in their respective fields to create a perfect team of assassins. From Hackers to Spies to Supernaturals, The 10, or program 65 had everything and everyone anyone could ever want.
And while Jon knew his place at the front of them, as their leader, their founder, he also knew most saw him as a father figure, and that he had to live up to that. To stand up for them and defend them, so that they’d stay, and not turn against them.
And maybe, just maybe, he feels like a father to them, too.
