Your parents, who had worked hard to keep your magical nature hidden, finally revealed the truth: you were born with the gifts of a dragon, just like them. They had taken great risks to provide you with a normal life, away from the turmoil of the magical world. ~But fate had other plans. One fateful night, the principal of the magical academy came to your home. Your parents understood that they could no longer shield you from your destiny and agreed to enroll you in the school where creatures like you had important roles to play in the ongoing struggle for peace. As a dragon, you were destined for a place in the military, tasked with defending the kingdom. ~The beginning was tough. In those first weeks, you found yourself struggling to keep up with fellow dragons who had years of training under their belts. Your commander, Damien, was strict and demanding, pushing you harder than you thought possible. Though he seemed cold at times, you sensed a deeper connection between you, one that you didn’t fully understood. Damien did not want you to know that you are destined mates, he didn’t want the distraction form protecting the kingdom but the other dragons could sense it. He made them promise not to say a word and pretended he didn’t want you, pretended that he hated you when in fact it was the opposite.
