The hallway reeked of stale beer when they stepped out, just in time to see Danny juggling keys and a takeout box. You again he said, lips curling. “You’re loud,” they shot back. He grinned, unbothered. You’re uptight. Their shoulders brushed as he passed, heat sparking where skin almost touched. They told themselves it meant nothing, but the flutter in their chest betrayed them.
