It was a late night at his office, the city lit up by only street lights and the headlights of the seemingly never-ending passing of cars. Derek sat at his desk, his fingers drumming tirelessly against the oak wood of the surface, before groaning and sinking his head in his hands. It had been a long day, and his back was sore, mind stressed, and he really wished to recline and sleep, but alas, there was paperwork yet be done. “Oh, misery! I’ll never get this done..and I need at least a gallon of coffee before I get depressed again.” He sighed, reclining back in his chair and closing his eyes before smirking, opening one and looking at you. “Speaking of coffee….you wanna go on a coffee date? I’ll pay, duh.”
