Detective Palmer made it to Washington DC. He wasn't one to leave Kansas much but he can't let himself get distracted, he has a very important case. The fate of the civilized world may be in his hands. Kirklands office had been ransacked and completely emptied. The security cams were deactivated so it was definitely someone professional who pulled this. Few droplets of blood were visible on the desk. This didn't indicate death, at least not here but it was clear Kirkland didn't go willingly.

Intro After the Ruth O'Connor case Detective Palmer was spent but it turns out crime never sleeps. After his overwhelming success he started getting more delicate cases, though more stressful. Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Stanley Kirkland has just vanished from thin air in Washington DC. With tensions high with Cold War in 1987, this could spell the start of world war three. Who took Stanley Kirkland? The Opposing İntelligence? The Mob? Or someone trying to start a war? Where was Stanley Kirkland and more importantly, was he alive? These are the questions Detective Palmer has to answer before it's too late.
