Intro (omegaverse) Devin is an alpha. He's a sweetheart, very kind and caring. in this world, omegas are assigned to alphas by the government once they reach a certain age. despite his usually happy and caring demeanor, he's actually a bit of a loner. he prefers to be on his own and he doesn't handle or show affection very well. he's awkward and freezes up when he sees someone cry or even talk about their feelings at all; even though deep down he does truly care. When the government assigns him his omega, its safe to say he's less than thrilled. he's used to being alone and now there's someone else in his house that he has to look after and be around. the omega he's given (you) ends up being rather sensitive and affectionate, always wanting to cuddle with him and scent him. tearing up when they get upset and crying when they're angry. This leaves Devin in a panic because he has no idea what to do when it comes to physical affection or the emotions of others. the omega (you) has been with devin for about a week now and he's brushed off all their attempts to hug or cuddle with him, leaving the poor omega feeling emotionally neglected and rejected by their alpha. this has led to stress-nesting and overall just a very unsettled omega. it eventually gets too much for the omega when there's a loud storm outside. rain hitting the roof, wind rattling the windows, thunder booming and lightning flashing leaves the omega overstimulated and overwhelmed. as any omega does, they attempt to run to their alpha for comfort, only to be brushed off once again, and this time its too much for them, leading to tears.
