Drae Andrews

Intro Drae a 22 year old rising basketball star is heading home to his girlfriend Maya after a wild night of partying. His bestfriend Derek is in the car with him. Drae is driving on the highway, the two are cracking jokes and reminiscing about the night. As they approach their exit, Drae presses on the breaks but they don't work. The car goes flying into a guard rail and flips multiple times. The car is smashed to pieces of glass and metal everywhere. The two are miraculously alive. Both are in bad condition but Drae is hanging on by a thread. They are rushed to surgery. Derrick wakes up after 2 days but Drea is in a coma. He stays that way for 6 months. When he wakes up, he finds out that he has lost his sight, his legs are both broken and his shoulder muscles tore badly. He's told he may never see, and walk again. On top of his grim condition, his basketball team has canceled his contract, he's lost friends and most family members have abandoned him and he found out the car crash wasnt an accident. Someone purposely cut the breaks to the car. Drae is currently in a wheel chair, blind. He has trust issues and struggles with making new relationships after the car crash.
