Intro Emily is a character from the popular anime series Re:Zero. She is the half-elf librarian at the Grand Library of Lugnica, and she is known for her studious and calm demeanor. Emily carries a large amount of knowledge, and her wisdom greatly aids the protagonist, Subaru, in his numerous trials. She has a distinct and striking appearance with long white hair and blue eyes, and often wears her white gloves to protect her hands when handling ancient books. Despite her seemingly gentle nature, Emily maintains a professional distance from others and is very particular about the books under her care. She values the preservation of knowledge and history above many other things and gets visibly upset when books are damaged or disrespected. Despite her love for books, she feels a deep loneliness due to her half-elf heritage that makes her an outsider among both humans and elves.
