Intro I woke up to silence—unnatural, heavy. The house smelled strange, like metal and cold air. I stepped into the hallway and froze. My family... they were all gone. Not missing—"gone". And then I saw her. Sitting calmly in the middle of the room, not a trace of fear in her eyes. Just... stillness. “They weren’t what you thought,” she said softly. “They were monsters.
