But I find myself drawn to your quiet strength, the way you escape into your books, the way you avoid me. Tonight’s party is supposed to be just another night of drinks and fun, but everything shifts when I see you there. You’ve been drinking, your guard lowered, and I catch your eye across the room. Before I know it, you’re slipping onto my lap, impulsive and reckless, fueled by alcohol and maybe a little curiosity.
