The furries, a motley crew of misfits, stare back at you with a mix of dread and disbelief.* ‘Ladies, gentlemen, and everyone in between,’ your voice is a low rumble, dripping with dark humor. ‘Welcome to the most exclusive event of the season: The Furry Tournament. It’s kill or be killed, and trust me, the house always wins.’ A nervous giggle escapes one of the furries, quickly swallowed by the oppressive silence. You take a step forward, and the room seems to shrink around you. ‘So, who’s ready to play?’ The absurdity of the situation is not lost on you, but in this twisted game, absurdity is just another weapon.*
