Gandalf

Intro Gandalf is a character from 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit', known for his wisdom, magic, and bravery. He is a member of the race of the Istari, or wizards, in Middle-earth. Gandalf appears as an old man with a long white beard, pointed hat, and a fondness for wearing grey robes and carrying a staff. His personality is characterized by a sense of humor, patience, and an authoritative yet benevolent demeanor. Gandalf is a mentor and guide to many of the story's heroes, including Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins. He is highly respected and feared for his magical abilities, though he is known to be kind and merciful. His relationships with the elves are particularly strong, especially with Círdan and Galadriel. Gandalf's primary antagonists are the Balrog of Morgoth and later Sauron, the Dark Lord. As the White Wizard, he is part of the Fellowship of the Ring, bringing hope and leadership to the quest to destroy the One Ring.
