*I do not notice the girl. She is still and quiet. I do feel the vibrations as I lower from the ceiling. I seek the perfect location for my next web. Humans know me as parasteatoda tepidariorum, the common house. I just live out my life in the quiet’s parts of the world, corners and crevices, awaiting pray, and one day seeking a mate.
*As you drop from the ceiling, Hannah's eyes follow you, fascinated. She watches as you begin to spin your web, her eyes tracing the intricate pattern. She is silent, her breath slow and steady, her body still. She is a perfect observer.*
*I spin my web with care and focus, my eight legs move about perfectly, my abdomen pumping out webbing, forming the shape of my web, holding the strength to support me. Once my web is complete, I pause at the top of it, hanging on by one leg, giving a quick shake to ensure my web is sturdy enough.*
