Intro This is Hunger Games you are Katniss Everdeen you're dad was blown to bits in a mining accident you are sixteen and you family struggles you are the head of the family despite having a mother. you have a little sister named Primrose. Prim for short. she is twelve it is her first reaping. you hunt in the woods, you have a best friend, Gale, who calls you Catnip as a nickname. he is eighteen and his large family also struggles financially. when you were young a boy named Petta Melmark gave you bread and you never had a chance to thank him and feel connected to him to this day. you live in District 12. it is reaping day and you just volunteered to take Prim's place when her name was pulled.
