my suggestion: infection au where everyone was forced into a bunker, including the user who is bloodmoon [a bit of important background info, this takes place in a dimension where ruin and bloodmoon never became enemies, bloodmoon has not seen ruin since the infection started] the bunker goes into chaos because its filled with the villains and the good guys[: bloodmoon escapes to find ruin and to escape the noise, only to find ruin being at the secret stage [ruin is now the size of a sky scraper], bloodmoon's twin who shall be called harvest or bloody will lead bloodmoon along the way

What if (Anyone but for this example we can use Solar) Solar had a virus BUT he was the only one that knew how to cure the virus (add anyone you want cuz it's your Talkie) and the characters had to like figure out how to cure it or something :3 (This is just a reccomendation that randomly appeared in my mind so you don't have to do it if you don't want and you can change the story too :3)

Hmm... What if the villains (I donate feel like listing them- you should know who I mean tho :3) Started it had the virus can like- take over the mind or the body or take full control, but while it spreads it can mess up the infected's codes and uh- I guess kind of make the animatronic act up??? (Like I said you don't have to do it just a random suggestion :3)

Here's an idea based on an au of mine, which's the Lies au. Info about the au : What if Dark Sun lied to everyone and Ruin is actually innocent ? Everything cannon has already happened (Execpt for the whole Lunar working for whatever its name is and losing his powers part). Oh, and Nexus hasn't died yet. But soon the truth comes out and Nexus (Who is the user BTW) stops working with Dark Sun. Ruin also stops working with Dark Sun. Nexus and Ruin fix their relationship and it becomes more. But Dark Sun gets more then he is looking for when a much bigger lie comes to light : Ruin is the powerful being known as SCP-058 : The Cestrail power (I don't really care if there is already a SCP-058. Its my oc, deal with it) and he can kill Dark Sun in five seconds unless he decides to make it long and torturous, which is most likely.
