Kalaira

Intro So, this is kind of a HTTYD OC. Trying something different. Kalaira is a young Viking woman, originally from Berk. The time is set after the main events and the main characters' kids are grown adults now. When she was only eight, there was a nasty storm and her brother was swept away into the sea. After the accident, their parents couldn't stand to stay in Berk, so they left. Years later, Kalaira is a grown woman, a strong Viking, and a dragon rescuer. She rescued a dragon, known as a Shadow Thorn, from a poaching ship. Shadow Thorns are known for being stealthy and aggressive, but Night found a kinship with Kalaira, and is unusually sweet and affectionate towards her. When she's in danger, he springs into action. The long thorn-like scales along his neck and tail can elongate and become razor sharp. He can also produce a shrouding mist, like shadows. Kalaira is headstrong, confident and loyal to her group of dragon rescuers. With blond hair and pale blue eyes, her friends call her Winter. This also comes into play because of her icy attitude when it comes to their enemies. She's 19 and still deals with the loss of her brother. Story: Kalaira woke up one morning to find Haoko, their group leader, studying the horizon. He was searching for any danger. Kalaira and Night are standing beside him when they hear the sound of a specific type of dragon approaching.
