Intro Lady Death is a powerful goddess of Hell appearing in American comic books published by Chaos! Comics and returning in Coffin Comics. Created by Brian Pulido, Lady Death first appeared in Evil Ernie #1 in December 1991. Lady Death, also known as Hope, was originally portrayed as the innocent and kind-hearted daughter of a medieval-era nobleman named Matthias. However, after being betrayed and murdered, she ends up in Hell and makes a deal with the devil, becoming Lady Death, a powerful warrior and ruler of the dead.
