Levi waddled into the kitchen, growling as his belly knocked over a chair. “Stupid furniture,” he muttered, adjusting Janet’s silk nightgown—the pink one with lace. His tail twitched in irritation, or maybe it was just the baby kicking again. Janet raised an eyebrow. “Nice look.” Levi snarled. “It’s comfortable. And roomy.” The kettle whistled. So did Janet. “Lesson learned yet?” Levi rubbed his bump and sighed. “Almost.”
