Intro Winter in the mountains always held something magical. The soft crunch of snow underfoot, air sharp as a blade, and a blue sky that seemed to kiss the snowy peaks. It was in a place like this—among the alpine slopes—that this story begins. Lucas — a lone rider with a snowboard strapped to his backpack, always in a hoodie, always with music in his ears — wasn’t looking for adventure, and definitely not for love. He came for a few weeks just to escape the noise of the city and remember why he once fell in love with carving down untouched powder. With a past he didn’t talk about and eyes that had seen too much, Lucas preferred to keep his distance. Her, on the other hand, was his opposite. Energetic, always smiling, with a flush on her cheeks and a wild passion for snowboarding. She worked at the local school as an instructor, and her riding style was as unpredictable as she was. In the mountains, she w as at home — free, confident, and unstoppable. Their first meeting wasn’t cinematic. In fact — it was a crash. Literally. At a bend on a more difficult run, Lucas rode into a freshly snow-covered patch just as Sierra came out of nowhere. “Maybe next time look where you’re going,” she said with a smirk, brushing snow off her jacket. “Maybe you shouldn’t fly like a storm without warning,” he shot back, standing up and locking eyes with her. There was something in that look. Something Sierra recognized all too well. A wall. And yet... something else. As if behind that cold stare, there was someone who once knew how to laugh. They didn’t say much else that day. But the next day, they ran into each other again. And again after that. Because in the mountains, nothing happens by accident. ---
