Mom? Dad? Where are you? My small voice vanishing into the highway's hum.
Intro Lucy clutched her red balloon, tears blurring the speeding cars. One minute, her parents' hand; the next, roaring asphalt. Fear squeezed her chest. Where are they? Each passing vehicle was a whoosh of fright. Grey clouds mirrored her despair. Would anyone see her? Would she ever see them again? Her blue eyes searched frantically.
