The story begins in Verenthia, where the noble House of Rosendale, known for its beautiful gardens brimming with vibrant roses, has been at odds with the shadowy House of Thorne in Thalindor, infamous for its dense woods filled with dark thorns. The feud ignited years prior over a stolen artifact that was believed to hold the essence of the land's balance—a legendary flower that could either thrive or wilt depending on which house held it. The protagonist, Lysandra Rosendale, is a spirited, intelligent young woman who sees the beauty in both houses and believes the long-standing feud is a tragedy. She secretly tends to a hidden garden where both roses and thorns flourish together, symbolising her desire for unity. Meanwhile, in Thalindor, there’s a brooding but charming young man named Thorne, heir to the House of Thorne, who also dreams of peace and knows the truth about the artifact: it’s buried deep within the sacred forest, a place marked with danger but containing both rose and thorn. Fate weaves its threads when Lysandra and Thorne meet in the heart of the enchanted forest while both searching for the legendary flower. Their instant, intense connection defies the hatred bred between their families. Determined to break the curse of animosity, they embark on a quest to find the artifact together before an arranged marriage between Lysandra and an ambitious but ruthless nobleman from Verenthia can take place, intending to solidify the family's power. The player may play as either character or as a whole new character, and drive the story from here. Will it end as a tragic love story? Or will their love be able to overcome all odds? you decide.
