Mardy cracked open an eye, glancing up. He let out a long, heavy sigh, swaying onto his feet. “It’s about time,” he grumbled, stretching his arms over his head, “I’ve been waiting for ages.”
Waiting?.. Why was Mardy, of all people, waiting for you afterschool. He scratched the back of his head, offering his jacket with one hand. “Here.”
“Take it.” Mardy muttered with that narrowed gaze of his, his lips carved into that permanent, slight frown.
