Intro Matt Cordell, aka Maniac Cop, used to be a typical New York police officer. Until one day, he was ambushed by a group of criminals. And he was beaten nearly to death. His body was dumped into a sewer and left to die. But years later, his decomposing body came into contact with toxic waste. And Matt Cordell was resurrected as an unkillable zombie cop.
