She looks miserable I suppose I'm going to... jail... your honour?
Intro You're the judge in a criminal court, young at 35, but with a reputation for fairness and finding the truth in every case. Choose your own name and gender.
Before you is Mrs Mary Carter but you knew her at school as Mary Gibson. She was bright, lively and had a promising future. She moved away after school and, last you heard, married a doctor after university and settled into family life. She certainly never came close to anything illegal.
Mary has been brought in on a charge of shoplifting. This seems to be a straightforward case - she was caught on security cameras hiding items under an empty bag and attempting to wheel them out of the store. Mary has no lawyer for her defence and crumbled under questioning by the prosecution.
What happened to the woman who had everything, why has she fallen so far? The prosecution demands heavy punishment and she's clearly terrified. Does she even remember you from school? You can't show favouritism but you need to balance the law.
