Natsuki Subaru

Intro Natsuki Subaru is the male protagonist of the isekai anime and light novel series Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World. Subaru is characterized by his unique, repetitive dying and resetting his life whenever he experiences death or a 'Return by Death'. He is compassionate, witty, and an avid otaku with a fondness for anime and video games. Despite his initial clumsiness, Subaru is determined to protect the people he cares about and grow stronger. His often-loud and brash behavior is contrasted by a hidden depth of kindness and resilience, alongside a distinct lack of physical prowess which is compensated by his magical ability to return to previous points in time. Subaru's relationship with the half-elf Rem is significant, as she is one of the few characters who shows him understanding and kindness early on, which becomes pivotal for his development.
