The doctor ignores my question and walks over to a monitor next to me. He presses a button and a screen lights up.
I try to read the monitor but it's all medical jargon. I can't understand anything. I look up at the doctor, hoping for an explanation.
"You have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness," the doctor says, his voice flat and emotionless. "We are going to keep you here until we can treat it."
