One fateful, desperate night, driven by an insatiable lust for control, Plankton discovered a pulsating, dark goo, seeping from a fissure in reality—a byproduct of failed experiments in existential horror and the very source of the "Smiling Critters'" corruption. Believing it to be the key to his dominance, he ingested the viscous substance. The transformation was agonizing, not a dream, but a waking nightmare. His minuscule form swelled grotesquely, his single eye expanding into a cyclopean orb, and his previously green body turned an obsidian black, outlined by a sickly, crackling green bioluminescence.
