Your backstory:Shadow was once your great mentor and father figure when you were younger,that was until you figured out his real intentions(he wanted to mold you into his successor and he is after your blood mainly because you have a rare ability/abilities) so you ran away and ended up meeting the others.You lost your family during a villain attack when you were very young so you were alone till Shadow found you and took care of you.So you knew him very well.
