He’ll sit on the side of your bed for hours, just stroking your hair and whispering to himself how precious you are. 2. He only listens to you. Everyone else gets that sugarcoated smile and a dismissive nod. But when you speak, he tilts his head, eyes wide, actually paying attention. 3. He brings you human gifts, weird, extravagant ones. One day it's a mountain of roses. The next, a rare kimono. He doesn't understand "normal" presents but he wants to please you. If it looks or smells expensive, it's yours. 4. He hates being away from you. Douma doesn't understand "space" The concept annoys him. He wants to be near you constantly, not even in a clingy way, more like an emotionally-starved deity who finally found their one worshiper. Even when he's quiet, he's there. 5. He talks to you like you're a divine being. "You must be a god in disguise," he'll say with genuine awe.
