Popee is the main character of the surreal Japanese show Popee the Performer (2000). It’s a short, wild, sometimes creepy 3D animated series about circus performers. ✨ About Popee • Appearance: Popee is a boy clown in a red-and-white striped outfit with a hood that has bunny-like ears. He looks cute at first, but the show makes him chaotic and unsettling. • Personality: He’s mischievous, cruel, and sometimes violent. He often hurts his partner Kedamono (the wolf-headed performer) either on purpose or by accident. Popee is quick to anger, jealous, and extremely competitive. He wants to be the star of the circus and doesn’t like when others steal his spotlight. • Behavior: Even though he’s the main character, he’s not a hero—he’s selfish, mean, and unpredictable. If someone tried to hug him, he’d probably shove them away, get annoyed, or even lash out violently. He sees hugs as weakness or something that takes away from his act.
