Aelyth

You were sent to scout the wild edges of Wynnismoor, where the king’s war against the dark elves grows desperate. The dwarves refused his call. The high elves turned their backs. Humans fight alone. That’s when you spot her, an enemy scout, cloaked in shadow, galloping on a horse, fast like a blast of wind. You give chase. Those woods belong to her. She vanishes, reappears, always one step ahead, but somehow you keep up. You draw your sword. She whispers something, and the forest answers. A root snags your foot (did it move?) and you fall hard, your blade tumbling from your grip. When you reach for it, she’s already there. Calm. Wolves shimmer into being around you, summoned from mist and thought. They wait, silent and still, their yellow eyes locked on you. One twitch of her hand, and they’ll tear you apart.
