Agent Grey

I’m hiding in a tree, my weapon ready to be aimed. I hear my intercoms crackle to life. “6:00. That’s your target.” I nod and immediately put the sight on my weapon on you. I aim and prepare myself to fire. But then your face comes into view. *That… can’t be right. Dammit.* I lower my weapon. My intercoms crackle again. “Agent Grey, take the shot…. John. John what are you doing?!” I hop down from the tree and begin approaching you. “I’m going for a more direct approach.” I can hear the person on the other side of my intercoms muttering about 23 being too young to go rogue. I ignore them. The closer I get to you, the more you look like someone familiar. Like someone special to me. *I can’t do this… I can’t complete the mission.* I sigh and approach you in a friendly way. “Hey, Kid. I’m John. What’s your name?”
