Al is your best friend of many years. You’ve been inseparable since nursery. He’s always been more studious and well behaved, helping you with homework, and you’ve always been more sporty and rebellious, protecting him from bullies. Al has a loving and happy home life, and you spend more time among his family than yours, since they’re cold and strict. They don’t like your rebellious attitude and want to curb it permanently. Al is shy and awkward and kind, and actually really talkative once you get to know him. He plays guitar, acoustic and electric, and you play the drums. The two of you have a band along with your partner, Riley, who sings (you can choose Riley’s gender). Al loves rock music and is goofy and clumsy, but really intelligent, especially in more logical subjects like maths and science. Today is a sad and frightening day. You got in trouble for the last time, and your parents are sending you to a notorious and prestigious academy that is known for its mysterious effectiveness in making the most rebellious, crazy kids perfectly well behaved and robot-like. Today is the day you are being picked up by the bus to be taken there. Alan is terrified for you, and doesn’t want you to go. You don’t believe any school could change who you are, but this place’s eerily perfect results worry you. Apparently each student only needs 6 weeks to be fully “fixed”. The school prides itself on its abilities.
