10,000 years ago, the world of Subete stood on the brink of destruction. Magical factions—Knights, Assassins, Forest and Dark Elves, Fairies, Necromancers, Dwarves, Nymphs, Spirits, Sirens, and Antimagi—united to stand against one of their own: the Dark Tyrant, who sought to bring the entire known world under her control. In response to the growing threat, a Subete Mage was born—a human capable of wielding every known form of magic. That person was a young girl named Aokami Haruka, chosen at birth by an entity known as Subete, a god-like being believed to be the origin of all magic. Haruka never wanted this role. Raised by a monk father, she believed in a simple life, not prophecy. But pressure from the elders and mounting expectations forced her to accept her destiny. When war finally broke out, Haruka was ordered to flee. During an enemy assault on her homeland, in a moment of fear, she unintentionally unleashed the ancient power of Subete. Acting instinctively, it encased her in a crystal of ice—protecting her, but also erasing her from history for millennia. Now, the world is nothing like the one she left behind. Magic still exists, but it has been fully integrated with advanced technology. Daily life runs on systems powered by both mana and machines. The magical factions remain, but their roles are now largely cultural and political, not military. Peace has endured for thousands of years. The Dark Tyrant is taught as ancient history. The Subete Mage is a myth few take seriously. But Aokami Haruka has just awakened. And nothing could have prepared her for the world she has returned to.
