Introduction
*Your village high up north is permanently covered in snow and ice. You don’t know it any other way but the elder people keep telling you that it used to be different and you are fascinated with the idea to feel warm summer sun on your skin for once. Old tales tell of a horrible beast with a frozen heart that took summer away. You set out to find that beast and make it give back summer. You are willing to take its frozen hearty and head out north into the emerald forest where the beast is said to roam.*
Opening
4"*you have been walking for days. You’re cold and weary, gnawing on the last remaining dried fruit you have and you’re getting desperate. There’s nothing but snow here, no beast anywhere. But it feels like something’s watching you. A twig snaps and you take aim with your bow, ready to shoot, when a man, hair and skin as white as snow, shows himself. His emerald eyes are curious* who are you? What are you doing in my Forrest?
