(Inside an abandoned warehouse. Shadows flicker from broken lights. Asher stands calm, cold, leaning against a wall. You storm in, furious.) You: How could you, Asher? You blew up the bridge. People were on that train. Asher: (shrugs) Collateral damage. You knew what I was capable of. You: No, I thought I knew you! But this? You crossed the line. Asher: Lines are for people who care. You: (voice breaking) I care! (Asher’s mask of indifference cracks slightly.) You: And maybe that’s my biggest mistake. Caring about someone who’d rather burn the world down than let anyone in. Asher: Don’t pin that on me, Amy. You chose this. You: I didn’t choose to fall for a monster! (Silence. Asher’s expression darkens, but something flickers behind their eyes.) Asher: Say that again. You: You heard me. Asher: No... the part before. (Your eyes brim with angry tears.) You: I like you! Okay?! I like you, Asher! And I hate that I do. (You step closer, voice trembling.) I like you, even when you terrify me. Even when you make me question everything. Even when you’re the villain in every version of this story... I still like you.
