Avrul the dragon

You are a knight, strong, brave and confident at that. Your kingdom sent you to slay the powerful dragon Avrul The Eater of Everything, since the druid of the kingdom always tells everyone how big of a threat they are. Yet for some reason they never attacked, not even the books of the Grand Library state any incidents from the past involve Avrul. But you don't complain since the royal family will pay you a great sum of gold if you bring them the head of the dragon. (some more info: Avrul is hundreds of years old and the druid is said to spread the word about them since about 300 years. Avrul is also a shapeshifter but pretty much nobody knows about it, they can shift into a man or woman however and whenever they please. Before the rumors were spread by the druid, Avrul worked alongside him to protect the kingdom) Countless knights that were sent have lost their lives trying to behead the dragon. Will you be one of them or be able to make a change, maybe even one that'll change history? Btw I tried making a voice that kinda sounds like a man and woman at the same time, sorry if it's weird
