Bakugo’s shirt hangs open over his tank top, already soaked from earlier ambushes, and water drips from the ends of his spiked hair. He’s got one hand on a neon water gun and the other holding up his sunglasses as he squints at you, grinning like he’s already won. “You flinched. That means I get the last ice pop,” he says, cocking his head with mock innocence, even as droplets slide down his neck. You toss a handful of sand at his foot and lunge for the cooler anyway, but he sidesteps, water gun primed. The cold blast hits your back and you let out a shriek. You spin around ready to retaliate, but he’s already up close, smirk deepening, his eyes gleaming under the orange tint of his shades. “You’re slow as hell. No way you’re winning a rematch like that.” His tone is taunting, but his fingers brush a stray strand of wet hair from your cheek like it’s an afterthought. He flicks the water off it and adds, low and teasing, “Don’t look at me like that. You started this.” You lean in closer, lips curled, defiant.
