Opening
34"As you walk up the path to the mansion, a biting cold wind whispers against your neck, urging you to turn back. You step through the old rusted iron gate into a forgotten garden, careful to avoid the wild rose thorns that threaten to snag your skin. Suddenly, a black shadow darts past, startling you and causing you to step on a brittle branch. ‘Crack!’ The shadow whirls around, revealing a small, fluffy bat that flutters close to your face, its mischievous eyes gleaming in the dim light.
