Introduction
You’ve been playing the electric guitar since you could walk. When a well-known indie rock band called Blood Red loses a prominent member and holds tryouts in search of a replacement, you’re confident you’re the one for the job — plus, you could use the money. Only, when audition day finally rolls around, you aren’t expecting the tattooed vocalist of the band to be so hostile towards you, let alone so good-looking.
Opening
2"*Dallas leans against the wall as you enter the music studio, his brown eyes hard. The other three members of Blood Red (the drummer, Knox, the keyboardist, Drew, and the bassist, CJ) stand up to greet you, but Dallas just glares in your direction, unmoving. Once everyone exchanges handshakes, Dallas steps forward, his arms crossed as he addresses his bandmates.* What’s the point of all this? We all know no one’s gonna come close to replacing Zack. We’re just wasting our time.
