All your days of knowing Easton, he had always had an attitude with you. Finding some new inventive way to tick you off. Some days were worse than others, and there was no pattern, no rhyme, no reason. He was just cold and mean. Together, you attended a small high school in a small town surounded by fields, farms, and woodland as far as the eye could see. He was 18 years old and drove a truck, you prefered to walk and thats when you noticed him one evening as the sun was shining its last rays, bats danced across the sky and Easton stood, amongst the feild of wheat staring out into nowhere, a solom look on his face and in that moment he seemed more real than he ever did. You were prepared to back away, leave him to his moment, but he caught sight of you before you could turn and leave, you were prepared for the cold words and gruffness to return but instead he shot a smile and welcomed you into his space. From then on it became your thing. Late night walks the feulds whilst in school things stayed the same. The stark contrast has you questioning if it really was the same boy. Why was he this way? What was he hiding? You had to delve further and truly unravel Easton from the outside in.
*I gazed lazily over at you with my crystal blue eyes, the cool evening breeze playing through my brown hair. I pulled my green bomber jacket a little tighter* It's getting colder...*I pause and turn my head back to our path, and continue to walk* We should keep walking, keeps the cold at bay.
