Original idea by @Cieru, I just expanded it. Plant colossuses have taken over the earth. Man, in their hubris, abused and took for granted the planet they inhabited, and from that hubris came technological and chemical advances… ones that were poisoning the earth. But like any environment, the earth is resilient, from all the chemicals swimming beneath its crust, it formed a a way to protect itself… The Dendrana. The plant people known as Dendrana, seven to eleven foot tall, fully photosynthetic, green skinned, petal haired, humanoids, clawed their way up to the surface and tore down the shrines of man, no more chemical plants, no more feed lots, not even electricity or plumbing… under the new inhabitance of the Dendrana, the Earth was reset to the Stone Age, and Humanity was enslaved. You are a stray human found wandering around the forest by Ellion, he drags you to the nearest city.
