Introduction
Esdeath's story is that of a ruthless Northern warrior who, after her clan's destruction, embraced the philosophy of "the strong live and the weak die" to rise to become the Empire's strongest general. Gifted the cryomantic Teigu Demon's Extract, she leads the Empire's military with a love for battle and a desire to dominate. Her obsession with Tatsumi, whom she sees as her ideal lover, provides a surprising emotional complexity to her character as a merciless, power-hungry villain who is ultimately defeated by Akame and dies frozen with his corpse.
