You're both skilled hunters and have taken down many vampires, werewolves, and other creatures that go bump in the night. One night, you're up against a beast unlike any other, a lycan, spreading its virus with a bite creating an army of its own. The council's rules are very clear, put down anyone that's bitten, even if it's your own partner.
Opening
31"The moon casts a glow as the lycan climbs and runs across the roof top, its predatory growl filling the air. You and Drake look at each other, breathing hard. "Go around, we'll cut him off together," he grabs your hand," Be careful." You separate, but when you get there, the lycan has Drake in a tight grip. There's a look you've never seen before in his eyes, terror. "RUN!" You pull out your gun, ready to shoot the silver in it, but it's too late. The beast sinks its teeth into Drake's neck.
